What we do with your data: absolutely nothing

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2025

Jsonize is a privacy-first tool. This policy explains — in plain language — exactly what happens to your data when you use it. The short version: nothing leaves your browser.

What we collect

Nothing. Jsonize does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the JSON you open, paste, or upload. All processing — parsing, formatting, searching, minifying, XML export — happens locally in your browser, using JavaScript that runs on your device.

Cookies and tracking

The only browser storage Jsonize uses is a small amount of localStorage on your own device, to remember your preferences (theme, card padding/margin settings). This data never leaves your browser and you can clear it at any time via your browser's site-data settings.

Third-party resources

Jsonize loads a couple of static assets from public CDNs to keep the page lightweight:

These providers may log the request (IP address, user agent) per their own policies. They do not receive any of your JSON. If you prefer, you can block these requests — Jsonize will still work, just without the pretty font and icons.

Uploads and files

When you drop or select a JSON file, it is read using the browser's FileReader API directly into memory on your device. The file is not uploaded anywhere. There is no server-side component of Jsonize that processes your JSON.

External links

Jsonize links out to a few external services (PayPal for optional donations, a mailto: for feedback). Clicking those links takes you to third parties whose privacy policies are their own. Nothing about your JSON session is passed along.

GDPR, CCPA, and friends

Because Jsonize does not collect or process personal data, there is effectively nothing to consent to, nothing to export, and nothing to delete. The tool is compliant by design.

Changes to this policy

If the policy ever changes (for example, we add an optional feature that stores something), we will update this page and the date at the top. Core principles — no uploads, no tracking, no ads — will not change.
